At the end of L.M.2, When the dark moon gets fixed, Polterpup regains his pupils. But in L.M.3, he has none. Does that mean... the dark moon is broken again? And E.Gadd was in a painting, so he was powerless.

Can Polterpup be a playable character if there's going to be a fourth Luigi's Mansion game? I know everyone loves Polterpup because he's a sweet ghost dog and he would a great partner to Luigi in fighting ghosts.

So with the addition of a cat suit in the Mario universe and Polterpup's interactions with the bros, I think we can see Mario and Luigi's preferences for pets. Luigi is a dog person while Mario is a cat person (I say this because of the kittens in Bowser's Fury, who wouldn't like to be cuddled by a bunch of kittens? Also, I don't think Mario was that amused when Polterpup stole his cake slice from him at the beginning of LM3)
So my question is: What if Mario adopted Polterkitty? Mario is on adventures a lot, something calming like a cat is probably right up his alley.
Here's a scenario: Mario has just been saved, he and Luigi are celebrating when suddenly polterkitty escapes the poltergust and she's ready to pounce, Luigi gets ready to fight her but Mario stops him and pulls out a random cat treat he has, Polterkitty takes it and changes to her small docile form before nuzzling Mario's leg, Mario decides to keep Polterkitty for himself as he also wants his own pet.
Alright, I've been meaning to make something like this with encouragement by Eiralp99, but haven't gotten the right chance to yet.
Anyways, I'm going to share some tips to help you and your friends succeed in ScareScraper and what to expect in Expert mode. So, without further ado, let's get going!
Be Team Players!
You won't get far without a team, so you'll need to be co-operative to make it through the haunting floors. Communicate with your team and compliment them for helping you. And don't fight over keys either; it's totally not worth it.
To get through the floors quickly, you'll need to make a game plan, so decided which rooms you'll tackle and which ghosts to fight.
Don't be trollish either. Its no fun, and you're not only wasting time for the people who are playing, but also you are wasting a slot for a person who actually wanted to play.
If a player is trapped, KO'd or cursed, stop your ghost hunting and help out the other players.
If your team is low on health, start searching objects for jack-o-lanterns or watermelons. Save some hearts for your team to collect, and call them over to your room for a refill. Further more, see if you can find Greenies with watermelons or jack-o-lanterns, or hope you can get the Restorator (Heal-Vac).
When it comes to boss ghosts, make a game plan; decide who will capture the boss ghost, and who will take care of the support ghosts. This can be a real game changer for all players!
Hopefully these tips will help you tackle the ScareScraper! Now it's time to talk about Expert mode...
So as you may already know, Expert mode is the most challenging difficulty of ScareScraper in the game. That's why, if you are new to playing ScareScraper, I'd recommend you start with this difficulty first.
Yes I know. Call me crazy, and you may lose a few times; but answer me this; do you really think success looks like a straight line, or are your constantly moving up and down. You should be fine with challenging yourself; and losing challenges is fine; that's how you master games, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. But if you are a bit anxious, if you've played Paranormal Chaos for the first time, I'd recommend thinking of Expert mode like it.
With a full team though; you are going to need most, of not, all of the tips I've taught you. When it comes to F3, I'd recommend you travel in pairs. That way, you can work together to capture ghosts, and if your team partner gets KO'd, cursed or trapped, you can and should be the one to help.
With that being said, you are going to be met with a LOT of crazy ghost formations: one of the most infamous one is a Gobber with six Greenies (some may be Strong Greenies) as hockey players. So trust me; be prepared, be team players, and you'll work together to clear the ScareScraper!
Before this ends, let me give you a quick overview of the modes you'll play:
Hunter Mode: You'll have to clear all of the ghosts on each floor in 5 minutes, so divide and conquer, either split up solo or travel in pairs.
Rush Mode: Find the hatch before the time runs out! I'd recommend sticking together for this one, search objects or capture ghosts to extend the time limit. Furthermore, make sure to get your hands on a map!
Polterpup Mode: You'll be tasked with tracking down Polterpups. I'd recommend travelling in pairs in case you run into Big Polterpups. Also, make sure to get your hands on a map or the Dark-Light Goggles.
Surprise Mode: You will be playing all three modes in a randomized order; what's consistent is that in each set of five floors, you will play two Hunter mode floors, one Rush, Polterpup and Boss floor.
And remember, anytime you want to play with me, my username is StarStorm★.
Now get out there and find your team to take you to victory!
So I was rewatching the boss fights from Dark Moon and I thought back on the game, it had an episodic feel to it, Mario being rescued didn't feel like the whole point, it was completely about saving Evershade Valley and I kinda liked that, I definitely think if Nintendo wanted an animated show that was more fun driven and less plot based like their previous cartoons, Dark Moon would be a great place to start. Luigi could be hanging out at home and E. Gadd could call on Luigi to help with ghost research and uses the pixelator or some other form of transport to bring him to the location, the poltergust getting a new upgrade each episode for the specific mission, and some characters could help him along the way (Daisy, Yoshi, Mario, Toad, etc.), meanwhile King Boo would be attempting to get revenge on Luigi for causing him trouble, an example being Hades from Disney's hercules, sending different monsters to deal with Luigi and they keep getting beaten, he then confronts Luigi himself once in a while and gets his ass handed to him.
This show would just be pure fun, no plot, just classic Nintendo ghost catching fun, the missions luigi would go on could be finding a haunted artifact, catching a specific ghost, or just documenting new ghosts he finds in the locations. I think that Morty and Madame Clairvoya would be fun side characters not directly involved with the action, like Luigi lets them live with him and they give him special tips or life lessons, Clairvoya could predict something that will happen on the mission, and Morty could be just the over dramatic friend who follows Luigi around with a camera, popping through walls and startling him just for the sake of his film, polterpup would accompany Luigi on his missions every episode, being either helpful or troublesome.
I know some people wouldn't like this idea but it would just be so cool to see Luigi on more adventures more often than waiting and praying he gets another installment in his miniseries. Just take danny phantom and ghostbusters, mix them together and then douse that abomination in Luigi's Mansion.

I've noticed something which is a bit off about how this character's named in LM3.
He's still just called "Polterpup", even though the word Polterpup in the LM world referred to the species, not a specific character prior to LM3. What I mean is that Polterpup is referred to in LMDM's vault as "???", with the description saying "I haven't come up with a name yet for this Polterpup" or something like that. Plus in scarescraper there are multiple of them as well. So does this mean Luigi/E. Gadd were too lazy to come up with a good name for the Polterpup? This can also apply to Polterkitty even, so there could also possibly be multiple of them too. If that speculation is right, it means Hellen Gravely was lazy on the naming as well... It should be noted that these same naming shenanigans happen with Yoshi from the mainline Mario games, though. So, what are your thoughts on this? Anything you can add on or disprove?
