The Twisted Suites are the 11th floor unlocked in the game, available after beating Serpci. The bosses fought here are NIkki, Lindsey, and Ginny. The layout is very strange and whacky, with the paths to the elevator and stage going through bedrooms and bathrooms, and having bathrooms needing to be accessed before bedrooms. It revolves around a center stage (not as big as the one in 4F - The Great Stage) and also has a stage in the corner.

Appearance[]

Being themed around magic, all the rooms are styled with deep red, black and white colours, with a heavy use of gold as an accent colour. Card suits can be seen almost everywhere on the floor, as paintings, furniture pieces and even framed pictures. In many of the rooms, magic set pieces can be seen, such as a saw box magic trick, a chinese water chamber trick, sword throw trick, and acrobatic hoops hanging from the ceilings. Top hats are seen throughout the floor as well, in association with bunnies and dice. When Luigi finds the magician ghosts in the Wardrobe, the layout of the floor becomes changed. The topology of the rooms become inconsistent, as doors will not lead to were they originally went, making the VB map useless for a short amount of time.

It is named after the illogical and confusing layout of the rooms, with them also being arranged into a maze later on, but also could be named in essence to the twisted and creepy humour that carnivals often garner, as a lot of the magic tricks are very dangerous.

Boos[]

Boofuddler is located here. His name is a pun on 'Befuddle'. He is available after the floor has been cleared by defeating Nikki, Lindsey, and Ginny.

Boofuddler can be found in the trainer's bedroom. The boo can be found by opening the fridge at the back-left side of the room with the X button. If the player misses him, he could be found in the Bladed Bedroom or the Lounge as well.

Gems[]

Twisted Suites Gems

Each floor of the hotel will have 6 different gems of several colors.

All the gems in the hotel will have a distinctive shape depending on the floor they are located. The ones in the Twisted Suites will be dice-shaped, with different numbers on each face.

White Gem[]

In the Suit Bathroom are different card suits hidden all over the room. Every time Luigi vacuums one with the Poltergust G-00, one of the sections of the ceiling lamp will light up. The player must find the 8 of them so that the chandelier lights up completely and drops several bills and the white gem after opening.

  • On top of the rug next to the bathtub.
  • The diamond card facing the player at the south of the bathtub.
  • On the window facing away from the player.
  • The club card below the skull and candle in the window.
  • The club card above the toilet.
  • The club below the mirror.
  • The spade camouflaged with the design of the floor, at the west of the entrance.
  • Above the blue cabinet in the northeast.

Red Gem[]

If the player approaches the wheel at the north of the Bladed Bedroom, three swords will appear, presumably created by the three sisters due to the purple aura in them, to then dart at the target and hit it, scaring Luigi in the process.

If Luigi spins the wheel on the wall with the Poltergust G-00, it will make even more swords appear to do the same and form a magic square on the wheel together, revealing the gem in the middle of it.

Blue Gem[]

This gem is in the Trainer's Bedroom, hidden within one of the three piggy banks. Luigi must break the piggy to reveal the gem inside and some Coins.

Above the bed on the northeast of the Trainer's Bedroom is a piggy bank used as a pillow.

Above the furniture in the northwest corner is another piggy bank.

At the southwest of the room is a piggy bank on the chair.

Green Gem[]

This gem is in the Lounge, the process can be repeated if it fails, but having a time limit it's recommended to have both Luigi and Gooigi ready and in position.

To the right of the stage, Luigi must use the Suction Shot to rip off the front of a power box to reveal a Strobulb reactor that, when flashed, will open all the display cases in the room filled with Money, left and right. While either Luigi or Gooigi flashes the device, the other must wait on the left side of the room where the gem is located to vacuum up the green gem before the cases close again.

Purple Gem[]

When Luigi enters the Hall for the first time, a giant magician hat will drop in him, trapping him inside.

Instead of simply taking it off immediately with a Burst, he must head over to the statue of the three magicians, specifically the one in the right missing a hat, and take it off with the burst in front of this one. If the player has already removed the hat before doing this, it can be picked up again by pressing X next to it.

This will make the hat land on the head of the statue, making a magical purple staircase appear. At the top of the staircase is a chest containing the gem.

Yellow Gem[]

This one is in a frame that needs the use of the Dark-Light Device in the Mirror Bathroom.

The player must look at the mirrors at the back of the room. Due to their inclination, the one on the left will reflect what is in the southeast area of the room, while the one on the right will reflect the southwest area, so this can confuse some players, especially when moving around the room.

The mirror on the right will show a picture of the gem on the south wall to the left, next to the sink. There is where the player should use the Dark-Light Device.

Trivia[]

  • This floor in itself is likely inspired by the 1990 show Twin Peaks, more specifically the Red Room which is a key theme in the show. Both have similar appearances and colours, with the Twisted Suites have the same exact zigzag flooring as the Red Room in some parts. Both areas are also strongly rooted in the theme of surrealism and mystery.
  • It is unknown where the bosses of the floor reside in, or if they just exist. As they seem to perform there, it is more likely that they do reside there. Which suite is unknown, as said earlier.
  • A diorama of the Gloomy Manor also appears in the fish tank in the Trainer's Bedroom, similar to the one in the Master Suite. This one isn't well known as its harder to angle the camera to see it.
  • While climbing the ScareScraper, a floor that players could encounter is one themed around the Twisted Suites, but only if one the players has equipped The Amazing Luigi skin, which in itself is themed after the floor too.
  • Several of the carpet patterns in this floor are the same one used in the 1980 film The Shining.
  • In the Water-Tank Bathroom, a Hammer breaks out of the tank to fight Luigi. While this could be overlooked or a lighting glitch, the flowing water effect still stays on the walls in the room, well after the tank has been destroyed.
  • The layout of the False Bedroom has a strikingly close resemblance to the Coward's Chasm from the Secret Mine in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Both contain a large mirror facing the camera in the middle, giving the illusion of a smaller room.
