The Fitness Center is the 13th floor in the game to be unlocked, after rescuing the yellow Toad and defeating Captain Fishook.
It looks and functions as a standard gymnasium, with treadmills, swimming pools, showers, yoga rooms, and the like.
Appearance[]
The Fitness Center has a similar layout to the Twisted Suites in the way that the rooms are traversed in a circular pattern, starting in/near the Elevator Hall and looping all the way round back to the start. The first few rooms accessed are a basic reception and a Locker Room. This floor has 5 different athletic facilities built into it, which Luigi will explore in a specific pattern. First; a large free-weight section (Weight Room), full of dumbbells, punching bags, pec-fly machines, pull-down machines and barbells. The second is a cardio room (Training Room), equipped with treadmills and exercise bikes. The third is a peaceful, quiet Yoga Room, and the fourth is a Shower Room, which is connected to the Yoga Room, Locker Room and the Pool. The final facility is the Pool itself where Luigi will battle Johnny Deepend for the elevator button that unlocks 14F - The Dance Hall.
The general aesthetic and cleanliness of this floor seems to indicate it is based of 1950's - 1960's gymnasiums, as it doesn't look too much like real life modern gyms, or contain modern exercise machines. The accented 60's theme could also be alluded to with the slide guitar riff as part of the floors main theme music. This style of guitar riff was popularized by sporting and surf culture in the 50's and 60's. The heavy use of white and wood give the floor a very minimalistic aesthetic, with glass doors, plants and linear room design. This floor and 5F - R.I.P. Suites, are the only two floor areas in the game to contain exterior segments, where Luigi is outside the hotel.

Gems[]
The dumbbell shaped gems
Each floor of the hotel will have 6 different gems of several colors.
All the gems in the hotel will have a distinctive shape depending on the floor they are located. The ones in the Fitness Center will be shaped like dumbbells.
White Gem[]
In the reception of the Gym Lobby is a gap on the southeast side of the desk. Luigi must use the Dark-Light Device on the empty circular spot to reveals a bell, which Luigi can ring pressing X.
Walking away from the bell causes it to ring by itself three times. Luigi must return and ring the bell the same number of times to make a Gem Goob appear in the reception.
Red Gem[]
When entering the Weight Room, the player will find a large mirror that occupies the entire front wall. In it, they can see a whole area located behind the camera's point of view, with different equipment.
If Luigi approaches south from the west area, he will start climbing some hidden stairs, also visibles in the mirror, which will lead to this level. Now that the player has discovered this part of the room, the camera will be repositioned to show it in full view, leaving the opportunity to explore it freely.
At the right of this upper area the player will find a scale. Luigi or Gooigi must stand on the scale to open a secret compartment in a pillar near the staircase, with the gem in it now reflected in the mirror too, while the other go there to retrieve the gem.
Blue Gem[]
At the left side of the Locker Room is a sign that indicates the door leading to the Pool, this one can break if Luigi grab and launch an object to the sign, like a ball, revealing the blue gem. While doing so the Poltergust G-00 will not lock in the target, so the players must aim themselves.
Green Gem[]
In the Shower Room, the player will see a grate in the middle of the room, but before using Gooigi to go to this lower area, Luigi must turn off all the showers with the Suction function of the Poltergust G-00 to stop the water.
After doing so, Gooigi can now drop through the grate without problems. There is a valve at the right of this level, Gooigi can use the Poltergust G-00 to turn it counterclockwise and drain the water.
The gem is on the other side of a grate on the right, so now that the water is gone, Gooigi can jump down and get to the gem on the other side.
Purple Gem[]
in the Training Room, Luigi will come across a radio that can be activated and changed of channels if flashed with the Strobulb.
Curious about the music in it, Luigi will entertain himself changing the channels to listen to all of them, but when he reaches channel 3, several ghosts will begin to be heard panting along with the song.
If the player returns to the treadmills and uses the Dark-Light Device, three ghosts will appear training in them, invoked and motivated by the music track. Two of them would be Golden Goobs, but the one in the middle would be a Gem Goob.
Yellow Gem[]
In front of the elevator, in the Elevator Hall, is a circle in the middle of the room with the icon of the floor, a dumbbell. If Luigi walks on it, the player will notice how it descends slightly and a glass with the same icon opens a little on the right.
As the drawing of the tile indicates, it will need more weight than just Luigi to sink completely. With the help of Gooigi and with both of them on the platform, it will open the glass case on the east.
Without either of them leaving the circle, the player must vacuum the trophy with the gem in the shelves. Once taken with the Poltergust G-00, it must be launched anywhere to break the base and release the yellow gem.

Trivia[]
- The gems of this floor have the same shape as the icon and logo of the floor, a dumbbell, which is present in a large number of rooms from the Fitness Center.
- The Fitness center has somewhat of a odd layout compared to its real life counterparts, in which there is no centralised hallway/hub that connects to the individual facilities.
- It is the second floor to have Polterkitty steal the button leading to the next floor.
- If the player vacuums the middle exercise bike in the Training Room to full power, it will play the hammer theme from the original Donkey Kong arcade game.
