Gems[]

RIP Suites Gems

Each floor of the hotel will have 6 different gems of several colors.

All the gems in the hotel will have a distinctive shape depending on the floor they are located. The ones in the RIP Suites will have an emerald cut.

White Gem[]

Luigi needs to look into the telescope in the Balcony from Room 508 (E.Gadd's Room). After some time looking on it, a Gem Goob will jumpscare the player.

Red Gem[]

This gem will be in the Balcony from Room 501 (Princess Peach's Room), but to get there, Luigi first needs to discover the door that goes there.

In Room 501, the player might notice that some pink suitcases from Peach are in the north-east corner of the room. Luigi will have to break them with the Suction Shot to clear the area.

When the player sees that there are no more objects blocking the front wall, Luigi must use the Dark-Light Device to reveal the door to the balcony. Once Outside, Luigi can walk to the right, then simply pull the gem from a gargoyle's mouth.

Blue Gem[]

To obtain this gem, the player first needs to enter the Laundry Room. At the south-east part of the Hallway, there is a vending machine that can be broken using the Suction Shot. With the machine out of the way, now the door to the Laundry Room will be accessible.

Once inside, Luigi must use the Suction Shot again on the green panel in the north-west corner to reveal the gem.

Green Gem[]

In the Hallway between Room 505 and Room 506 are two statues, one with a red ball and another with the gem. The ball can be sucked up and shoot at the statue with the gem to break it and release it.

Purple Gem[]

In the Bathroom from Room 507 (The room under renovations), is a white sheet of curtain blocking a hole. The player needs to vaccum the curtain and enter this space to reveal a hidden backside.

The hidden backside has a wood border preventing access to the gem, however, In order to get past it, Luigi must break the green suitcase with the Suction Shot to reveal another hole there to where the gem is. Luigi can also deploy Gooigi across it after moving the table.

Yellow Gem[]

In the Bathroom from Room 502 (Mario's Room), Gooigi needs to slip through the grate in the floor, then use the Suction Shot to pull the wood off the valve and then turn it to stop the flowing water, now the player can return to Luigi again.

The player must reveal the bathtub by removing the curtain first. Luigi needs to turn the bath faucet until the bathtub is full and a yellow suitcase floats to the surface and comes out of the bathtub. The gem stored there can be obtained using the Suction Shot on the suitcase.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike normal hotels, some rooms have better treatments than others, where they have extra space, hidden rooms, or even a balcony.
    • The only rooms that have a balcony are the Room 501 and the Room 508, the first and last rooms from the 5th floor, this means that Princess Peach and Professor Elvin Gadd stayed in rooms of higher quality than the others.
