The Unnatural History Museum is the 9th floor. The boss fought here is Ug. Like 12F - The Spectral Catch and 14F - The Dance Hall, this floor is brief and very short, as it's mostly centered around the boss fight.

Appearance[]

This floor only contains two rooms, although in fairness they are very large.

The Elevator Hall is a wrap around hallway and contains a reception desk head on, with many exhibits and fossils circling the room on display. Such fossils include large dinosaur feet, footprints, a pterodactyl, fossilised eggs, a triceratops and what is either a velociraptor or a deinonychus. At the north end of the hallway behind the elevator, the hall to the Exhibit Hall is located being large curtains.

Lightning begins to strike as Luigi approaches the hall. The T. Rex facing Luigi head on changes position with each lightning strike. The Exhibit Hall itself is a massive display room featuring a stegosaurus, a T. Rex, two pterodactyl and velociraptors, with more fossils on display behind the fencing. This room and its exhibits gets destroyed during the T. Rex boss fight.

Rooms[]

Elevator Hall[]

Exhibit Hall[]

New Ghosts[]

  • Boones (Boo)
  • Ug (Boss)

Walkthrough[]

Not much is to be noted here, since the majority of the floor is located in the boss battle against Ug.

Walk down one of the two halls and stumble upon the curtain. Use Luigi and Gooigi to pull both sides and proceed to the Exhibit hall.

Boo Location[]

The Boo Located here is Boones. He hides in one of the two sets of paintings in the floor. The player needs to unravel the covering of the right one, or otherwise it will reveal a random dinosaur image and Boones will relocate to the other set.

Gems[]

Unnatural History Museum Gems

Each floor of the hotel will have 6 different gems of several colors.

All the gems in the hotel will have a distinctive shape depending on the floor they are located. The ones in the Unnatural History Museum will be shaped like dinosaur footprints.

Some of the gems listed below will need the help of the Blue Toad or the use of a bone found in the Exhibit Hall. Both only accessible after the Boss Battle in this floor.

White Gem[]

At the bottom-right corner of the Elevator Hall, Luigi can break the glass container with a cauldron and Coins inside by hitting it with the Blue Toad or a bone. This causes a Gem Goob to appear.

Red Gem[]

In front of the elevator is a front desk for the museum. Using the Poltergust G-00 to rotate the chair in it will turn the desk over with a secret mechanism and reveal a chest, which contains the red gem. The player must be careful that Luigi is not touching the white zone when doing so.

Blue Gem[]

In the west side of the Elevator Hall, Luigi must vacuum the flowers in the north, revealing a green receptor behind them and on the pillar.

Luigi must use the Strobulb in it to activate a mechanism that move upwards the front fossil, revealing a safe that needs the use of the Strobulb again. When opening, it will let fall some Money, scrolls and the gem.

Green Gem[]

Above the outside of the elevator is a pterosaur skeleton that can break with the use of the Blue Toad or a bone, which will throw the gem.

Purple Gem[]

At the bottom-left corner, Luigi would see a glass container displaying a Pearl in it, but the place beside it will seem empty even though it shows a place to put another object.

The container needs to break by hitting it with the Blue Toad or a bone, then the player needs to use the Dark-Light Device to make the gem appear next to the pearl.

Yellow Gem[]

After the battle, the player must grab one of the bones or the Blue Toad to throw them to a glass container in the right of the curtain that leads into the Exhibit Hall, breaking it and releasing the gem inside.

Trivia[]

  • This floor has one of the least rooms out of any place in The Last Resort, being two. The others are 1F - Grand Lobby with one room, Rooftop with two rooms, 12F - The Spectral Catch with three rooms, and 14F - The Dance Hall with also three rooms.
  • This is the only floor that has one of its gems hidden directly by Spirit Balls, in which the gem itself needs to be flashed with the Dark-Light Device instead of something concealing the gem.
  • This floor is the only floor to be significantly destroyed before the ending. This is during the boss fight, as Ug completely destroyed the Exhibit Hall.
  • It's name is likely a parody on the Natural History Museum located in London, replacing it with Unnatural in essence to ghosts and the paranormal, although the Supernatural History Museum could have worked as well as the final title.
