The Aviation Exhibit is located in the Treacherous Mansion of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, also being one of the only rooms which is totally optional to enter along with the Archives in the regular mission.
Description[]
The exhibit is filled with models of hot air balloons and planes. The walls are painted blue with cutouts of clouds to portray a sky background. There is a giant hot air balloon which can be seen from the exterior of the Treacherous Mansion. Above this is a cage which contains the star diamond. This room can only be accessed via the West Hall.
In Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon[]
This room is first visited in "A Train to Catch". It is an entirely optional room to explore, however, by going there, Luigi can move the plane to the right, around the room to collect several coins and bills in said mission. The star diamond can be collected here, and in "Paranormal Chaos" and "Terrifying Invasion".
In "A Train to Catch", attempting to collect the star diamond results in Luigi having to fight two Strong Greenies and a Strong Hider. In "Paranormal Chaos", MaraBoo is located here. To get it, shine the Dark-Light Device on the giant hot-air balloon, and vacuum up all of the Spirit Balls to expose the Boo.
