The Ball is a ghost that was cut from Luigi's Mansion. It's model would go on to become the Meteor Ghosts encountered in the observatory.

Description

The Ball and various other beta ghosts, appeared in the original 2001 trailer for the game. In the trailer, they would be seen bouncing around in the Nursery. The Ball appears to have acted very similar to the Ghost Mice and Bats.
