Blimp Reaper is a variant of the Creeper Launcher appearing in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon / Luigi's Mansion 2 HD in the ScareScraper, and later returning in Luigi's Mansion Arcade.
Physical description[]
Blimp Reaper is a large Gobber wearing a pale, dark blue hooded cloth, which is torn on the bottom, and his bottom parts are all colored orange-yellow, to look like the popular Halloween myth, the Grim Reaper.
Powers and abilities[]
Blimp Reaper has all of the powers and abilities as the Creeper Launcher, spits yellow goo, and purple goo that forms into small Creepers. He can also knock himself into any of the Luigis if one gets too close to him, and can jump in the air and create a shockwave if he is being vacuumed to make the Luigis lose their grip on him, and cannot be avoided by jumping.
In Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon / Luigi's Mansion 2 HD[]
Blimp Reaper first appears in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, as a ScareScraper-exclusive boss. Like all other bosses, Blimp Reaper may be randomly fought on every five floors, barring the top floor.
Strategies and guides[]
The strategy for dealing with the Blimp Reaper is the same for dealing with the Creeper Launcher. When he appears, move out of the way when he spits out goo and small Creepers whilst vacuuming him. With multiple people, at least one or two Luigis should focus on vacuuming the Blimp Reaper (the other one could focus on capturing the small Creepers), while the other Luigis should take out the support ghosts. If they are Hiders (Strong Hiders on Expert and Endless), try to capture them before given the chance to hide in furniture. If they are Slammers, there should be no issue, just capture them when they appear in case they may target the Luigis vacuuming the Blimp Reaper. When the Blimp Reaper is performing his ground pound attack, unleash Power Surges to stop his attack, making for an easy capture.
In Luigi's Mansion Arcade[]
Blimp Reaper returns in Luigi's Mansion Arcade. Like all Creeper Launcher variants in the game, Blimp Reaper is now the same size as regular Gobbers, has 50 HP, and cannot produce small Creepers nor jump in the air and create a shockwave upon being vacuumed up. He may be found in the East Corridor of the Treacherous Mansion as the last wave of ghosts. He will be supported by three Spooky Spooks and two Gold Greenies. After capturing them, Luigi can access the Terrace to fight King Boo.
