The Hidden Mansion is a game mode in Luigi's Mansion that has harder ghosts, but the Poltergust 3000 is 2x more powerful. The player will earn more money in this mode, but attacks will do double damage when Luigi gets hit, compared to the standard game. The Hidden Mansion is playable after one playthrough of the game. The two versions of the Hidden Mansion are identical.
The ghosts will have more HP. For instance, the Gold Ghost will have 15 HP, compared to its 10 HP in the standard game. The Hidden Mansion will have more ghosts in each room than the standard mode, requiring more strategy to get through each one. The Mansion is darker than the standard game when starting. Boos will also be harder to capture and have more health. Some ghosts that appear early in the standard game appear much later in the Hidden Mansion.
In PAL regions, the Hidden Mansion is a mirror of the original Mansion.

- In the battle with Boolossus, there is a cutscene where Luigi hops on the Poltergust 3000 and ride it, however with the caveat that Boolossus is more difficult to fight.
