The Library is a room located north of the Gloomy Manor, appearing Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and later returning in Luigi's Mansion Arcade.
History[]
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon[]
In Quiet Please!, a Poltergeist is seen playing with the grand piano, whilst using telekinesis to control many books. This can be seen in the Common Hall, after vacuuming the posters of cheese and a mouse, which covers a hole to look in to the Library. When Luigi enters the Library, he has to fight the Poltergeist, and later two more.
In Visual Tricks, once Luigi gets the Dark-Light Device, he can use it on the invisible globe, vacuum it and bring it to the fireplace to reveal an amethyst.
In Sticky Situation, if Luigi looks through the crack in the wall of the Common Hall, he can see Ooga Booga (Boothoven “Switch”) laughing and flying all over the room before going up and disappearing. But once Luigi gets in, he finds out that the Boo was actually hiding in the grand piano on the northeastern side of the room. Once the player uses the Dark-Light to make the piano visible, the culprit appears and introduces himself. After that, there isn’t anything relevant here besides some books that have turned invisible. Also, if the player has already captured the Boo and looks in again, the Boo will not be there. The Library is one of the rooms that will always be infested with spider webs.
In Gradual Infiltration, the Library may be one of the rooms infested with ghosts. If so, there will always be a Poltergeist, who may be sometimes accompanied by a Greenie.
Luigi's Mansion Arcade[]
The Library returns in Luigi's Mansion Arcade. It is accessible once Luigi clears the ghosts in either the Dining Room or the Kitchen. Here, it is where The Brain is fought. He must be captured in order to complete the Gloomy Manor.
Appearance[]
The Library is a fairly large room with many large stacks of books filling the room, and bookshelfs. In the center of the room lies the fireplace with a picture over top as well as a large piano in the corner of the room. On the left side, there is a globe which contains a Gemstone. There is also another floor above it, with more windows and a painting of fire. Above the second floor lies the attic, the Rafters.
The Library can be accessed in many ways. On the first floor, it can be accessed via the Kitchen and the Common Hall. On the second floor, it can be accessed via the Lobby and the Dining Room.
