To store and decorate articles with images, the Mansionpedia uses galleries. This covers the general rules of Galleries.

What is a gallery?

Galleries are sections or separate pages with images that users can view. Different sections can also be used to organize sets of images from each other. This may include, Promotional media, screenshots, etc.

Where should galleries go onto an article?

Galleries must always go at the bottom of the article, under Trivia (if added), See also and External links sections, navboxes and categories.

What should go into galleries on articles?

  • Content that is related to the Luigi's Mansion games.
  • 100% canon images (no fanon)
  • High quality images, no watermarks if possible.
  • Existing and official promotional media and artworks, screenshots, sprites and videos (all of which must pertain to the article and be 100% canon).

What should NOT go into galleries?

  • Fanon content.
  • Low-quality images
  • Tiny or resized promotional media, artwork, screenshots, sprites, etc.
  • Images and videos which violate copyright policy.
  • NO INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT!

When should galleries be moved to their separate pages?

  • If galleries have a good number of images, they should be moved to their own article. 20 or more images should be added at a minimum, though in certain cases, some exceptions may be made through discussion with an active admin. Also keep in mind that even if a gallery has less than the minimum amount required, it can still have its own gallery page if more images can be added that surpass the minimum; this can also work vice versa, where even if a gallery can have more than 20 images, it may not be ready to be moved yet if there are some spots to improve on.
    • When moving galleries, use the Gallery template for an automatic link to the gallery page. Place GalleryBox at the top of each gallery page.
    • Luigi, Professor Elvin Gadd, Mario, Toad, King Boo and Polterpup will automatically receive their own gallery pages, as they are the main/highlighted characters. Also, the games the images belong to are also separated, so for navigation purposes, use the Main template once at the top and link to the different game galleries for characters.
