About
The Mansionpedia is a growing community dedicated to the Luigi's Mansion series. As such, we need users that can contribute and work together to build our community!
Guidelines
Work together and help edit articles and create new ones!
Help out with editing all sorts of articles! We always encourage users to edit and create new articles! If you're not sure where to start, check out our community to-do list, or contact one of our active Mansion Experts or Booreaucrats.
Make friends!
As well as editing articles, we also encourage users to make friends at this wiki! Remember to look for a friend that you can trust, and make sure everyone is included. Here's the key rule, always be nice and civil, respect other's views and opinions, and look out for another!
Play games and fun activities!
The Mansionpedia hosts are wide variety of games and activities, such as to encourage users to edit articles and just have some fun! You can also create games and activities to play on our discussions! Make sure they pertain to the Luigi's Mansion games and are appropriate!
Have a chat!
The Mansionpedia wants to make sure all users enjoy their time here, so please feel free to chat with your friends! Make sure to talk only about the Luigi's Mansion games, and all conversations must be appropriate and family-friendly. We also have a ScareScraper Discord, which you can communicate and chat with your friends all about ScareScraper!
Be supportive!
The Mansionpedia wants users to feel included, and encourage users to help out others! So, if a new user joins and makes a mistake, don't be mad at them! Instead, help them fix and correct their mistakes. Its also key to assuming good faith, which is to know that users are trying to help out.
Always have each others' back!
The Mansionpedia wants all users to support and look after each other, so its key to be nice and civil, and assume good faith! If someone is bullying you, or you have a friend who is being bullied, contact an administrator immediately, and they'll take care of the issue! Don't fight back, and don't encourage the bullies' bad behavior! Instead, let our staff take care of the issue! If there is a disagreement or dispute between you and a friend, try to resolve the issue and come to an agreement! If things don't get resolved, contact a administrator to resolve the issue!
Its nice to be helpful, but let staff do the hard work!
We always encourage users to be helpful towards other's, but please don't take over the role of a staff member. This is known as mini-modding, which refers to a user who is not part of our staff to take over the roles of users who are staff, and this can lead to abusive and tyrannical behavior. If you see anyone mini-modding, please contact an administrator immediately. If you are the one responsible for mini-modding, understand the consequences for your actions, and you may face a warning and a block.
Trust is something you earn, not work for
Its always important to make sure we have trust and faith in all users. Trust should never be abused, and our staff will step in to deal in the situation. Our suggestion is to "Be True To Your Word" and keep your promise to others. If you break someone's trust, don't work for trust by making promises, earn user's trust. Prove to them that you can be trusted and will not abuse their trust for you.
Respect others' opinions
Everyone is different, no two persons are the same. So you might have different opinions, and it is very important to respect that. For example, if you dislike a character in a game, that's OK, and no one is ever allowed to change your opinion. No opinion is right or wrong, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and views, and everyone must respect other's opinions so we can get along and make friends!
You never know what someone is going through, so always be kind!
In life, people are going to be dealing with some tough times. If you do notice a sudden change in someone's behavior, do understand they might be facing some difficult times. If this is the case, do not act hostile towards them at all, always be kind and if possible, try and find a solution to help make them feel better. Note that if you act hostile to the one going through difficult times, it will be you who faces the consequences and not the other person.
