Every wiki needs a staff that can maintain it and that users can always trust. For some user to be part of the staff or for them to be promoted to another level, those who are already in charge must follow some guidelines before accepting these users as part of the team. There are different types of user rights that provide different benefits to the user who owns them, these can be seen in the Luigi's Mansion Wiki:Administrators and Luigi's Mansion Wiki:Moderators pages.

These are the guidelines that will be taken into account if the user wants to be part of the staff of this site or if they want to rise in position, from lowest to highest, although it doesn't have to be followed 100% if administrators see that the user really deserves such position. Generally, our active bureaucrats, LuigiMaster41 or DrawnCatcher should be able to have the final say in whether or not a user is worthy of certain user rights.

If a user has been blocked as a result of vandalism or major spam, or has violated any Code 4 policies, they cannot be part of the staff team, regardless if they meet the requirements. User rights are granted to users that have worked to the best of their ability to grow the wiki, not destroy its reputation.
