The Maintenance Hub is a room found in the Old Clockworks in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
Description[]
The room has entrances to the lower level of the Service Elevator on the east, the Synchro Gantry on the west, and the Cargo Room to the north. Luigi can use the ziplines to migrate to the opposite sides, from the Service Elevator to the Synchro Gantry, and vice versa, by activating the Strobulb on each end. While on the zipline, Luigi can drop in the middle to get to the door to the Cargo Room. In the middle of the room, there is a giant gear which rotates only upon revealing the hidden gear in the Crank Room via the Dark-Light Device. On the ground below, there is a ground of sand, with occasional mice moving through, and a hidden Treasure Chest that holds a ruby.
Dark Moon Quest[]
In "Piece at Last," Luigi comes to this room in order to get to the Crank Room to reveal the hidden gear, to retrieve the stolen key from the Slammers, and then returning back to the Maintenance Hub to unlock the door to the Synchro Gantry. Then, after returning here with the yellow Toad assistant, Luigi shoots him to the other side of the room with the Poltergust 5000, but as he tries to return, the bridges wrap up, as three Greenies armed with mallets and shields appear for Luigi to fight. Once he captures them, Luigi can use the zipline to get to the Toad so they can continue onward with their journey. The ruby is available to collect in this mission, alongside "Outlandish Interruption."
