The Mouse is a minor enemy that first appears in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and later appears in Luigi's Mansion 3. Unlike the Ghost Mouse from Luigi's Mansion, these mice are living, and not Ghosts.
Gold Mice[]
Gold Mice are much rarer than regular mice and disappear after a few seconds, so you need to act fast if you want to catch one. If you do manage to catch one by using your Strobulb, you will be rewarded with Gold Bars.
Abilities[]
Consummation (Luigi's Mansion 3): Mice can consume various objects and store them in their highly elastic stomachs.
Speed: Mice are rather fast.
Bite: Mice can bite Luigi, dealing 5 HP of damage.
Story[]
General Description[]
Mice appear throughout the games in several parts of the game, sometimes in groups. Just like in real life, mice are found near mouse holes and will constantly keep reappearing. To defeat a mouse, the player can either suck them up with your Poltergust 5000 or flash your Strobulb at them. If you decide to use your Strobulb on a mouse, they could drop a coin, a heart, or nothing at all. If Luigi accidentally steps on a mouse he will lose 5 HP.
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon[]
Mice begin appearing during the Gloomy Manor section of the game, where a mouse is holding the key that Luigi needs to enter the mansion. Another another major appearance includes when a mouse in the Haunted Towers is holding one of the 13 Gemstones in the Seedling Laboratory.
Luigi's Mansion 3[]
In Luigi's Mansion 3, a mouse makes its first major appearance when it steals and swallows the button that Luigi received for defeating Chef Soulfflé. In order to get the button from the mouse the first time, Luigi must lure it out of it's hole using Cheese. After getting the button back, it will be stolen again and Luigi will have to chase the mouse throughout the second floor. Eventually, after following the mouse through several rooms, he'll be able to get the key back after Gooigi enters a bathroom full of mice. In order to get it back, Gooigi will need to vacuum up the mouse that swallowed the button.
