The Nautical Exhibit are two consecutive rooms of the Treacherous Mansion in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
Description[]
The main part of the Nautical Exhibit is a room themed around ships and sails, and also contains sea animals like fish, and a E-Gate on the northern wall, which leads to the Front Entrance, and the room can be accessed via the door from the East Corridor. There is also a octopus statue that can be interacted with that slaps Luigi, dealing 2 points of damage. There is also a compass on the ground which is controlled by the western wheel, and flips the E-Gate to the Study. Behind the sail on the ship to the eastern side is a door, which leads to a ship outside, with crows, golden crows and a treasure chest with a Gem.
Dark Moon Quest[]
In "A Train to Catch", Luigi comes into this room to find a Strong Slammer steering the western wheel. To capture it, Luigi needs to close the lid above the E-Gate and vacuum all the fog in the room. Once the Strong Slammer reaches less than 112 HP, he is joined by a Strong Greenie and a Greenie with a helmet. Once they are captured, Luigi can activate the E-Gate, which is key to getting the yellow book back to the Study.
In this mission and later missions, Luigi can access the square diamond. Luigi needs to use the E-Gate to bring a bucket from the Dark Age Exhibit or a log from the Jungle Exhibit and place it onto the switch on the upper ship to allow access to the outer area. He can open the chest to collect the gem.
During "Paranormal Chaos", the Nautical Exhibit is home to 2 Slammers and either 2 or 3 Strong Slammers, which are mandatory to capture.
In "Terrifying Invasion", the Nautical Exhibit is usually one of the rooms infested with ghosts. If so, Luigi will face a Strong Slammer and a 1-2 Greenies (one equipped with a helmet) and sometimes a Hider.
Trivia[]
- There is an odd detail whenever using the Poltergust 5000 on the wheel to flip the E-Gate between here and the Study. If the Nautical Exhibit is dark, the Study is light, even if said room is dark or not, but if the Nautical Exhibit is light, the Study will be dark regardless if there are ghosts in or not. This is likely an oversight by the developers.
