Ghosts with paranormal chains — A Strong Gobber, Strong Greenie, and a Strong Slammer blocking the entrance to the Gondola with their paranormal chains.

Paranormal chains are special white chains only appearing in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. They have the ability to enhance and ghost's strength and to create colored paranormal chains to block a entrance. Once a ghost with paranormal chains is captured, their chains will break, and the paranormal chains used to block and entrance will also be destroyed.

They are only seen in Across the Chasm, wrapped around a Strong Greenie, a Strong Slammer, and a Strong Gobber. As Luigi is about to enter the gondola in the Terminal, they ambush him, and block the entrance to the gondola and flee, forcing Luigi to find and capture them in order to break their chains and access the gondola.

As mentioned above, paranormal chains can enhance a ghost's strength. Regular Strong Gobbers' health points are 200, but this one has 300 health points, as a result of the paranormal chains. The Strong Greenie and Strong Slammer are also powered up; this Strong Greenie has 100 HP instead of 50 HP, and this Strong Slammer has 250 HP instead of 150 HP.
