The paranormal portals are purple portals that allow the access and exit between the Paranormal Dimension and the world of the living. its size may vary depending on where they are or how they are created, they can also be modified after their creation by those capable of such power.
King Boo is capable of creating and alter them, like the one of the Terrace as seen in the mission Paranormal Chaos and Stop the Knightmare, but during Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, the player can find a similar portal hidden in doors too, which will lead to one of the many "???" rooms of the Paranormal Dimension.
