Possessed Garbage Bins, also known as Cursed Garbage Bins, are a type of enemy encountered in Luigi's Mansion 3. They are garbage bins brought to life by Purple Spirit Balls.
They can be found on 8F - Paranormal Productions, 11F - Twisted Suites, 12F - The Spectral Catch, 14F - The Dance Hall, and 15F - Master Suite.
Possessed Garbage Bins can be activated either once Luigi gets too close to them or if he tries to open them. Once activated, they will now have glowing red eyes at the top of their lids and they will be able to move around using tiny spike-like feet. Possessed Garbage Bins attack by running and then jumping on top of Luigi, which deals five damage. After this, they will laugh and then return to where they were previously found, repeating this until they are defeated.
In order to be defeated, Luigi must first shoot a plunger at their stomach and then pull back on its rope using the Suction Shot of the Poltergust G-00. Once fully pulled back, Luigi will be able to make the bin fall onto its front, putting it into a daze. If Luigi waits too long, the bin will stand up and begin fighting again. Once on it's back, Luigi must use the Dark-Light Device in order to make the Purple Spirit Balls float out of it. Once they are all sucked up, the bin will return to normal and will appear to look as though it had been opened.
Possessed Garbage Bins can also be encountered in ScareScraper mode.

- Unlike Possessed Treasure Chests, Possessed Garbage Bins have the inability to get Luigi into their mouths and do not possess a black-hole-like ability.
