The Rooftop is the last area of Luigi's Mansion 3. It's only purpose is the location of the final boss of the game which is King Boo. This area is the shortest in the game, since it's just a short climb to the top before fighting the boss.
Once Luigi enters this area, he can't go back to anywhere else. Luigi also disconnects with E. Gadd after Luigi confirms that he wishes to pass to the stairwell. Subsequently calling him does nothing.

Walkthrough[]
As the player exits the stairwell that links the 15F - Master Suite to the Rooftop, Luigi will need to climb a series of ladders, which Mario happen to wall-jump instead, arriving first. After the player climbs the ladders, Luigi will see Princess Peach’s frame in front of a very panicky Mario, who happens to be frantically either pointing or calling out “Luigi… Help, you have to!” In which the player needs to use the Dark-Light Device to save the princess.
Peach will then finally get out of the frame, falling gracefully out of it thanks to her pink dress, and the three will have a good natured group hug! But that doesn’t last long… King Boo comes in and a cutscene of him putting all the captured characters in a bigger frame will play out. King Boo somehow thought that he would get even Luigi in the process of trapping everyone, but Polterpup comes chasing after a bat, as so, he tramples Luigi, causing him to separate from the scared crowd and be saved from the frame, and so the battle against King Boo begins.

Trivia[]
- Since there's no elevator to this area, it's a standalone floor that only serves as a boss fight.
- The stairwell that appears along the way up could very likely go all the down to the ground floors, but the path is blocked at the top, making it inaccessible during gameplay. This theory is supported by how the Goob's barricade the front entrance doors on 1F - Grand Lobby, as they were likely blocking all and any exits and access to the roof, to make Luigi's quest harder.
