The Rumpus Room (known as Play Room in PAL regions) is a room of the Haunted Towers in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
Appearance[]
The Rumpus Room is a room made for a child, including dolls, 5 jack-in-a-boxes colored blue, dark purple, green, yellow and pink. The room also includes some windows, and a pink dresser to the right, and a hanger which can be revealed with the Dark-Light Device. Pulling the curtains on the windows and the scarf will reveal money from the lightbulb on the roof. The most notable features are a pink doll house, which is presumably what the Haunted Towers was before the giant tree in the middle grew and destroyed it, and before it became haunted. The other notable feature is the doll on the blue carpet, with blue eyes and its head watches Luigi's every move. The Rumpus Room can be accessed via the beanstalk grew in the Plant Nursery or through the Family Room.
History[]
The Rumpus Room is mainly used for the mission Pool Party. It is used as an entry point for the 3rd floor of the West Tower, once Luigi climbs up the giant greenstalk inside. Upon entry, he will discover that the door is locked. He must look into the lighted window of the dollhouse. In it he will see the section of the room he is in, but from a window outside as he can see himself looking in. Further looking around will reveal one jack-in-a-box rustling. Opening it will reveal 5 Greenies. After defeating the last one, Luigi can get the key and move on into the Family Room.
The oval gemstone can be found here. In order to get it, Luigi must run counterclockwise around the doll as its head seemingly unscrews. Eventually, the head will pop off and the gem will come out. This gem is also accessible in Hostile Intrusion.
