Skills and abilities[]
Slinkers do 5 to 20 damage and have 120 HP.

- Speed: They also have the quickest back-off speed of any ghost, other than boss ghosts.
- Toad shield: Slinkers can also grab Toad in the B2 Return Mission, and use him as a shield from flashes. Luigi has to suck Toad off, hit it with a plunger, slam near or on it, or use a Burst to make him free and the Slinker vulnerable.
- Push: Slinkers can push Luigi over, dealing 20 damage.
- Scare: Slinkers can scare Luigi, disrupting his ability to capture ghosts briefly.
- Toad portal: Slinkers can also take toad through a portal in the B2 return mission they will attempt to take him through. If successful you lose
- Jump: Slinkers can jump on players, immobilizing them. However Luigi can still burst or summon Gooigi while the Slinker is on him. Periodically, about once every 7.5 seconds the Slinker will deal 5 damage to whoever they are on. This attack is special as it is the only way to take damage without getting invincibility frames.
