The Special Compass is an item in the Old Clockworks of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon where Luigi needs to access the underground. It is obtained in the mission C-1: A Timely Entrance, located in the drafting office. It primarily looks like a normal compass, with the cardinal directions Red and the others sand-white.
When placed onto the right spot in the courtyard, the parts will individually turn and loosen the trapdoor. This is used in C-2: Underground Expedition since the other way to the underground is blocked.
