Strong Slammers are a stronger variant of Slammers in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. They resemble regular Slammers, but have light red, cracked-like marks on their bodies.
Dark Moon Quest[]
Secret Mine[]
In "Hit Rock Bottom", a Slammer is trapped in a crystal by Boos in the Crystal Quarry. The qualities of the red crystals transform the Slammer, as well as the Sneaker and Greenie into their stronger variants.
In "Across the Chasm", a Strong Slammer serves as a sub-boss, along with a Strong Greenie and a Strong Gobber, all wrapped in Paranormal chains. They each use their chains to block the entrance to the Gondola, forcing Luigi to capture them all in order to destroy each chain. The Strong Slammer resides in the Chalet, but three Greenies (one with a red Paranormal shield) must be captured in order to capture the Strong Slammer. Due to the paranormal chains enhancing the ghost's strength, this Strong Slammer has 250 HP.
Strong Slammers have a chance of appearing in Severe Infestation, and may appear in the Chalet, High Wires, Smokehouse, Under the Ice or Smuggler's Hideout if those rooms are selected.
Treacherous Mansion[]
In the Treacherous Mansion, at least 1-2 Strong Slammers appear in all missions, save for E-4 and E-Boss.
In Front-Door Key, a Strong Slammer fights alongside three Strong Greenies in the Guard Tunnel.
In Double Trouble, when Luigi tries to get a Gemstone in the Front Entrance, a Strong Slammer guards it, and must be captured in order to collect it. Another Strong Slammer appears in the Restrooms, reading a newspaper. This ghost isn't necessary to capture, but to capture it, Luigi needs to pull the chain, causing the Strong Slammer to be sprayed upwards with water. After doing this however, this ghost must be captured in order to leave.
In A Train to Catch, a Strong Slammer appears in the Nautical Exhibit, spinning the ship wheel in the foggy room. This ghost needs to be captured to complete this mission. Luigi will need to close the lid letting out the steam using the Blow feature on the Poltergust 5000, and then suck up all the fog, allowing the Strong Slammer to be captured. After losing 40 HP, a Strong Greenie and a Greenie wearing a helmet will attempt to stop Luigi capturing the Strong Slammer, but are no match for him.
In Paranormal Chaos, 2-3 Strong Slammers appear in the Nautical Exhibit, along with 2 Slammers, all of which must be captured to complete the mission. While on the Terrace, a Strong Slammer appears with a Strong Sneaker among the many waves of ghosts.
In Terrifying Invasion, Strong Slammers appear in the Restrooms, Dark Age Exhibit and the Nautical Exhibit, but often appears in the Restrooms and Nautical Exhibit if they are chosen.
ScareScraper[]
In ScareScraper, Strong Slammers only appear on Endless and Expert ScareScrapers. They are mostly encountered with several different variants Greenies, Strong Greenies and Creepers. They also replace regular Slammers in aiding Terrible Teleporters and their variations and The Brain.
In Luigi's Mansion Arcade (non-canon)[]

Strong Slammers return in Luigi's Mansion Arcade. They behave in the same manner as Slammers. Strong Slammers have 35 HP.
Old Clockworks[]
A good few amount of Strong Slammers first appear in the Old Clockworks, preventing Luigi from accessing the Transportation Hall alongside other ghosts, but are not match for him. Some are also seen in the Transportation Hall along with other ghosts, preventing Luigi from capturing the Gobber, but are once again no match from him.
Treacherous Mansion[]
Several Strong Slammers are found in the Treacherous Mansion, accompanied by either regular, strong or ScareScraper ghosts.
Many Strong Slammers also aid King Boo on the Terrace, alongside Strong Greenies.
Skills and abilities[]
- Shockwave Clap: Strong Slammers can clap their hands together, releasing a red shockwave that does 20 damage to Luigi.
- Invisibility: Strong Slammers can become invisible for a short period of time. They do not use this often.
Strategy[]
The strategy for dealing with Strong Slammers is different compared to dealing with regular Slammers. They usually come alone, but if there is multiple, or when encountered with other ghosts such as Slammers or different variations of Greenies, it's best to capture them immediately along with other ghosts, preferably other Slammers or Strong Slammers. If in a position to where Luigi is about to be hit by a Strong Slammer, quickly look at it to stop its attack and flee from Luigi whilst turning invisible, escaping unscathed from the ghost's shockwave.
In the Treacherous Mansion, Strong Slammers can also use newspapers to block Luigi's Strobulb.

Trivia[]
- Strong Slammers have the fourth highest amount of HP of any normal ghost in the Luigi's Mansion series, losing to Strong Gobbers, as well as Hammers from Luigi's Mansion 3, with first place being the Hammers appearing in ScreamPark.
- A glitch can be performed with the Strong Slammer in the Front Entrance during Double Trouble. Right after flashing the vault, flash again to hear the Strong Slammer stunned, then start vacuuming. At the time it's supposed to get mad, it will try to hit Luigi, but he can still unleash charges from the Power Gauge. Once all of its health has been depleted (which the numbers will disappear after the Slammer gets angry, and it is quite tricky to do so as Luigi can get caught in the radius of the shockwave), Luigi cannot unleash any more charges. When it is flashed, no numbers appear above its head, and immediately enters the Poltergust 5000 upon being vacuumed.
