The Suction Shot is a function of the Poltergust G-00, which is used in Luigi's Mansion 3. It fires a plunger that will stick to certain surfaces.

The Suction Shot is used for puzzles. It is most useful when combined with the Slam feature and is used to destroy or move objects.
Unfortunately, The Suction Shot doesn't work on ghosts. At least, not fully. The plunger will stick to their head for a short while, but they will eventually pull off the plunger. Luigi cannot suck up the plunger and slam the ghost afterwards.
