Grouchy Possessor | Harsh Possessor | Overset Possessor | Shrewd Possessor | Tough Possessor |
The Tough Possessor is the fifth and final Possessor Luigi faces. He is fought in mission Stop the Knightmare from Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and has the sixth and final Dark Moon piece in his possession.
Physical description
The Tough Possessor, like all other Possessors, is a white ghost with horns, except this Possessor has five horns, the most of any Possessor, with two pairs of horns on each side, and one pointed horn at the front of his head. He also has orange and red layers of skin for his second and third phases, respectively.
The suits of armor the Tough Possessor possess are basically suits of armor, with several spikes on parts of their armor and wield spiked sledge hammers. The giant suit of armor the Tough Possessor possesses, is a colossal suit of armor, with an orange glow emitting from his helmet, spikes on parts of his armor and wields as colossal sword.
Dark Moon Quest
When Luigi enters the portal that appeared within the Terrace, he will be teleported to a large room with three rugs in the middle, simply named "???". At the front of the room will be a suit of armor that holds the last piece of the Dark Moon. Luigi must make his way there. When Luigi tries to grab it, the Tough Possessor appears and generates a purple force field to push Luigi back.
Battle
The Tough Possessor controls suits of armor. They will attack Luigi by running at him before stopping to swing their weapons. These armors will need to be tripped up by pulling up rugs. Luigi must get all of the suits at once in order to launch the possessor out, otherwise the remaining suit(s) will reassemble the other ones. Once the Possessor is out of the suits, Luigi has five chances to stun and capture him or else he will return to the suits.
First phase
Luigi needs to trip two suits at once.
Second phase
Luigi needs to trip three suits at once.
Final phase
In the final phase, the Tough Possessor will take control of a giant suit of armor. To expose the Possessor, Luigi has to lure each foot onto a rug, then pull each rug with the armor's feet quickly to expose the Possessor.
Aftermath
After Luigi captures the Tough Possessor and collects the final Dark Moon piece, E. Gadd brings Luigi back to the Bunker, however, King Boo intercepts the transmission with the Pixelator, and only the Dark Moon piece makes it to the Bunker. Luigi is then brought to King Boo's Illusion to face off and capture the mastermind himself once again. Once the Dark Moon is restored, all of the ghosts in Evershade Valley return to their peaceful selves again. It is most likely that E. Gadd freed the Tough Possessor from the Poltergust 5000, whilst trapping King Boo once more.
