“Allow me to introduce the Virtual Boo, or VB, for short!”
The Virtual Boo (VB for short) is a new E. Gadd invention and Luigi's Mansion 3's version of the Game Boy Horror and Dual Scream. The Virtual Boo lets you view the map, turn on co-op, use the E. Gadd hotline, view the guide/settings, teleport to the lab, and return to the title screen.
Unlike its predecessor, the Virtual Boo can also make mini/quick calls, starting with a sound and then one or two lines. Luigi does not activate it, but it immediately starts.
Trivia[]
- The Virtual Boo is a reference to the Virtual Boy system Nintendo released in 1994. The Virtual Boy failed due to several reasons such as it being uncomfortable, high priced, and having poor marketing.
- This joke is further implemented by E. Gadd saying it will be very successful and "fly off the shelves".
- Instead of using the previous console as E. Gadd's invention, Like the GameBoy Horror in the Gamecube original and DS in the 3ds version (The previous consoles before) the Virtual boy was used instead.
