Wurdle (known as Snapper in British English localizations) is a variant of the Creeper Launcher appearing the ScareScraper of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, and later returning in Luigi's Mansion Arcade.
History[]
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon[]
Wurdle first appears in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, as a ScareScraper-exclusive boss. Like all other bosses, Wurdle may be randomly fought on every five floors, barring the top floor. As well as the small Creepers he creates, Wurdle is also aided by either Hiders or Slammers (only Strong Hiders on Expert and Endless).
Luigi's Mansion Arcade[]
Wurdle returns in Luigi's Mansion Arcade. Like all Creeper Launcher variants in the game, Wurdle is now the same size as regular Gobbers, has 50 HP, and cannot produce small Creepers nor jump in the air and create a shockwave upon being vacuumed up. He may be found in the East Corridor of the Treacherous Mansion as the last wave of ghosts. He will be supported by three Horrorcas and two Gold Greenies. After capturing them, Luigi can access the Terrace to fight King Boo.
Information[]
Physical description[]
Wurdle is a large, yellow-green Gobber with a yellow-green tongue, a tan belly with darker tan stripes, dark brown spots on his head and arms, and wears a large, dark brown shell on his back, making his design based on a turtle.
Powers and abilities[]
Wurdle has all of the powers and abilities as the Creeper Launcher, spits yellow goo, and purple goo that forms into small Creepers. He can also knock himself into any of the Luigis if one gets too close to him, and can jump in the air and create a shockwave if he is being vacuumed to make the Luigis lose their grip on him, and cannot be avoided by jumping.
Etymology[]
Wurdle's name is a pun on turtle. It is currently unknown what his British English name, Snapper references.
